Fourth of July in Savannah

This coming up holiday weekend is the perfect time to not only celebrate America but also visit Savannah! Fourth of July weekend is a packed weekend and Savannah offers a lot of activities for all members of the family. Starting on July 1st is the Forsyth Farmers Market and the Southern Family Festival. Both events offer fun activities and are a great way to see some of the marvelous sights of Savannah. Continuing on the weekend is Cocktails and Canvas at Morrell Park where you get to paint a patriotic canvas you get to take home with you. Also on Sunday July 2nd is the theater production The Jungle Book presented by Lucas Theater. This kid friendly show is a part of the Lucas Theater’s series of Disney classics. It’s sure to be a swinging good time! Come down to Savannah’s Historic River Street for the Fourth of July Celebration on July 3rd to kick off the Fourth of July Celebration. Finally the Fourth of July offers a fun and entertaining watermelon crawl and at the end of the day there is a Fourth of July fireworks show that takes place back on River Street and the show is presented by the Savannah River Boat Cruises. The fireworks, food and DJ will help you to celebrate our beautiful country in a patriotic and fun way for the entire family.
